Ventielolie is doorgaans ingedeeld naargelang de tolerantie (speling tussen ventielwand en ventiel, afhankelijk van leeftijd van het instrument en bijkomend door de sleet van de ventielen) : - Hetman Classic 3 : oudere instrumenten (iets dikkere olie) - Hetman Medium 2 : ingespeelde instrumenten - Hetman Light 1 : nieuwe instrumenten (de dunste olie) Ook bij Yamaha is die indeling terug te vinden = - Yamaha Light : voor professionele/nieuwe instrumenten (kleine tolerantie) - Yamaha Regular : voor normale toleranties - Yamaha Vintage : voor oudere instrumenten Bij La Tromba heb je T2 Light, T1 (medium), T3 Ultrathin (hoogste dunvloeibaarheid = laagste viscositeit). Niet alle ventielolie voor perinet-ventielen is ook geschikt voor draai-ventielen ! Een experimentje, gestart sinds 1927, omtrent viscositeit : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pitch_drop_experiment
