Buescher Aristocrat from 1963, serial number 389474, just before the Selmer takeover. It has a really nice core to the sound, can play very mellow, especially in the low register. In the upper register it brighten up without being too shrill and is very focused. This model has a nice top and bottom flared profile valves which adds weight to the valve section to increase stability which is EXCELLENT. The weight of the horn is around 1100g, and is very well balanced. Another great and very positive thing about this horn is the valve action, simply AMAZING!! The valves are very fast and smooth with a short stroke. The valve buttons sit into the recessed caps which is a really cool feeling when you play. Slotting is excellent. This instrument plays really easy and many of them called it "The little Martin" because plays similar to a Martin Committee but for a much less money. Chet Baker also played on this model... I would categorize it as a jazz horn, very cool for combo and solo stuff. It posses the brightness to shine over orchestra too. The condition of the horn is very good, compression top, lacquer very good. It is a vintage gem!! THIS HORN NOT ONLY PLAYS VERY WELL BUT IT IS ALSO A COLLECTOR`S ITEM!! PERSONAL HORN OF WORLDCLASS TRUMPETER AND JAZZ LEGEND DUSKO GOJKOVIC - DUSKO GOYKOVICH!!!!
