Na enkele ereplaatsen in de laatste jaren is BB Willebroek er eindelijk nog eens in geslaagd de titel naar zich toe te trekken.

De commentaren op 4BarsRest waren gisteren niet erg hoopvol, maar zo zie je maar dat het nog altijd de adjudicators zijn die het laatste woord hebben.

Wat een uitslag zeg, en een geweldig compliment aan onze Belgische vrienden.
En dan: 5 pnt meer dan de Black Dyke!
Er moet op een erg hoog nivo gemusiceerd zijn, ik vond SoliBrass in Schoonhoven al erg goed spelen.
De life voorspellingen/commentaren ( http://www.4barsrest.com/news/detail.asp?id=3134 ) zaten er zeker een eind naast, zo zie je maar.

Ik vind vooral de commentaar van 4BR op het keuzewerk van Soli wel leuk :

Very cinematic feel to the music. Lots of effects and added colour from the percussion. Very open and tonal. The music features plenty of high quality ensemble, solo playing as well as vocals! Euph solo is well handled, but ensemble work is very much of a muchness. Well played though righ to the end. Soprano goes bonkers after last note!

Overall - A fair sum of numerous underdeveloped parts. Too many ideas put in the mixer for us. Exciting and colourful but all lacking a little substance for us.

Gaaf Moon, die soprano is bij ons dus een van de eerste bugelisten, hij heet Johan Breetveld.
