Hello,
Thanks for all your interesting points.... As I am the owner of the instrument I will try to respond to all of you.
1-The only reason why I am selling this gem is because I have two of it. Amen
2-The photo posted bellow my post is not the daCarbo I am selling. It`s the daCarbo Toni Meier signature. Differences vs mine? Look down.
Toni Meier Spiri daCarbo vs mine goldplated Spiri daCarbo:
-Finishing anthracite + brushed lacquer vs original goldplated finishing
-Toni Meier leadpipe is model 9BSK with custom finger ring. My daCarbo have the 9+2 leadpipe with standard finger ring. Differences? Very similar in blow, I have both. On my second daCarbo I have the 9BSK and 3 more. Personal preferences....
-Toni Meier daCarbo bell is 139mm. My bell is standard 122mm (like Bach and Van Laar standard bells). I have the 128mm bell too. Personal preferences....
-Toni Meier daCarbo has a heavy trim kit. My daCarbo munts the standard one. But I have the same heavy trim kit too. Personal preferences....
3-Sound, feeling and playability? Definetelly something different. It is a world for itself. Non comparable to others in feeling. I am not saying is better or worse, just different. Easier to play, better(SUPERB!!) intonation, much rounded sound and the same in all register. It`s like you play on a produced trumpet in studio. It has a big core and big big sound. Plays fantastic. Very flexible. On a microphone is something special. Apsolutely TOP TOP TOP, and in my opinion a must have for every trumpet player. For more information write in private.
Here is the daCarbo for sale:
